The HM Digital DM-2 Dual Inline TDS montor is a Laboratory Grade Instrument that monitors the TDS* (Total Dissolved Solids) passing through your RO water system's membrane. This device is simple to attach, battery operated, and efficient in letting you know how well your RO membrane is performing.
To monitor the integrity of your RO membrane and see how well it is performing you measure the TDS value before the membrane and after the membrane.
This DM-2 digital monitor will show you BOTH the Incoming Water TDS value and the Product Water TDS (after) value so you can see the difference and know when to change the membrane.
This difference in TDS values will alert you to any TDS Breakthrough caused by membrane degradation (wear and tear), membrane defects, or membrane bypassing caused by incorrect installation or bad seals.
Range 0-9990 ppm. Accuracy: +/- 2%
Uses 2 AAA batteries.

The IN connector attaches to the Feedwater tubing that delivers the raw tap water into Stage 1 of the RO Unit.
The OUT connector attaches to the Faucet tubing that carries purified RO water to the faucet. This tubing is either 1/4" or 3/8" in diameter.
