The rating scale used in the water filter system selection chart is as shown in the table on the right.

Across the top of the table below is a list of concerns or known problems you may have with the water in your area. If you read down the columns, you will see the relative performance of each type of filter system listed on the left column, so you can decide which system will be best for you and your needs.
